I did a compression check. Well actually, I did 4 compression checks. The results were so bad I just didn't want to believe them the first time around. Warm-engine, all plugs out, wide-open throttle (as per the Honda Service Manual). Spec is 184psi +/-28 (156-212psi) Cyl 1: 155psi Cyl 2: 90psi Cyl 3: 155psi Cyl 4: 120psi I did the compression check cold once, all plugs in, closed throttle.. just to see what I'd get: Cyl 1: 115psi Cyl 2: 113psi Cyl 3: 118psi Cyl 4: 115psi Looks like my motor is cooked. Time to rebuild it from head to toe. Can't say this puts me in the best of moods. Damn.
